Vahé has traveled to Armenia in 1980, 1981, 1990, 2003 (twice), 2004, 2005 (twice), and in 2006 (twice). He has also traveled to Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) in 2003, 2004, 2006, and most recently in February, 2008. Photos of the beautiful landscapes of Armenia can be found in Five color image galleries, one black and white gallery, and one infrared black and white gallery. There is also one gallery devoted to the people of Armenia. Nagorno-Karabakh is featured in one color and one black-and-white gallery.

Vahé has also written six photo essays which chronicle his travels in Armenia during 2004 and 2005. The first photo essay, written in October, 2004 and entitled “and the Journey Begins – a photographic voyage into Divine Land,” was subsequently published in Asbarez daily newspaper’s Christmas, 2004 edition. A travelogue based on this voyage has just been published in the November 2006 edition of the online journal travelphotographers.net. April, 2005 and the commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide provided the next opportunity to visit Armenia. Here, Vahé felt compelled to separate his thoughts on the commemoration (“Pilgrimage to Tsitsernakaberd”) from the subsequent photographic excursions (“April in Armenia – of torrential rains and the rites of Spring”). A conference dedicated to Solar Extreme Events at the Nor Amberd Cosmic Ray Station halfway up Mt. Aragats, was the impetus for his visit in September, 2005 (“A Cosmic Alignment – the photographic consequences of a visit to Armenia for a space science conference”). In May, 2006, finding himself in St. Petersburg, Russia, for a space science conference, he could not help but make a quick dash down to Armenia ("Five days and 1200 kilometers in May"). Finally, an expedition to unveil the Aghbradzor St. Grigor church in the Kashatagh (Lachin) region of Nagorno-Karabakh in August, 2006, prompted "History Revealed," which was published in the September 9, 2006 edition of Asbarez.
